Fire Steel Pouch (хэтэвч)

Before matches, fire travelled on the belt. The хэтэвч — a leather pouch fitted with a steel striker and embossed silver mounts — was both a necessity and a point of pride.

Today these pieces are prized by collectors for the craft compressed into their small frames.
